OUR STORY

Ochre Handmade specialises in statement jewellery for the contemporary feminine. A one woman show founded in 2019, Ochre has gained popularity in the UK and beyond for unique lightweight earrings which turn heads while still allowing you to turn yours! Each piece is slow made by hand from start to finish by me, Lauren, in a small yet perfectly formed studio in Surrey.

Everything is carefully slow made by hand every step of the way: from hand drawing idea conception, colour mixing and conditioning clay, cutting shapes, sanding and buffing, drilling, and finally assembly. Polymer clay is a fantastic medium to create with, it is so lightweight and malleable enough to be transformed into a wide range of styles, shapes and themes to suit everyone. I am passionate about being as sustainable as possible within this practice, so I use all scrap clay where possible to create pieces that can be found in the One Of A Kind collection. I also use recycled products where possible, and ensure that all packaging is of high enough quality to be reused, as well as being recyclable or compostable.

Our latest publication is via the amazing Rock n Roll Bride Magazine where our Lexi dangles made the cover! You can read more about this and order the issue here!

We have also been part of a wonderful partnership with Mills & Boon in order to create a bespoke earring design based upon the cover artwork for best selling romance novel  MEET ME IN LONDON.

Ochre has been published by Rock My Wedding, the UK’s most popular planning resource for your big day. We have also had a feature with INSTYLE magazine. These pieces make the perfect statement as the cherry on top to your look whether it be a brunch date, Zoom meeting or if you’re just feeling yourself.
